One Tree Hill – Episode 6-10 Review
By Sharon Tharp - November 13, 2008 | Email the author

And…we’re back. Well, not completely. But the show has returned to its music roots with a concert like the old Tree Hill days. And with it, we also got ghosts of dead characters…

A big Angel and Airwaves concert hosted by Peyton for her brother Derek and the marines also brings a strangely nervous Haley and Mia back to the stage. Haley makes Nathan stay home and recover from last week’s Slamball incident. So he is paid a visit by the ghost of Q, which as we learned with Keith’s revisit, brings along some life wisdom. Basically, he tells Nate to go after his dreams of playing professional basketball and not to feel guilty for doing it. Although I’m not partial to the whole ghost thing, I have to agree.

Brooke and Sam seem to actually be cohabiting well together with Sam even making breakfast for the two. But when Brooke gets a phone call from the adoption agency about a possible newborn, Sam gets worried she will lose her place. Brooke assures her that her home is Sam’s home for as long as she likes. That is, until Brooke talks to the adoption agency and found out that having a teenager would complicate the process…

In a surprisingly good storyline for Mouth, Millie finds Gigi in Mouth’s bed. She calls him and tells her to get “that slut out of my bed.” Go Millie! Mouth promises nothing happened and Millie goes to Brooke for support. Brooke tells her to trust him and Millie reveals that she is a virgin to Brooke. While she is supportive, the lovable Brooke has some kind and funny words to throw in about that.

Peyton and Lucas were actually really adorable this episode and for once, Lucas takes the high road and doesn’t get overly jealous of Julian. He punches him yes, but remains quiet about it. At first he doesn’t want to do the movie, but after some convincing, Lucas reconsiders the idea.

Next week is a must-see for so many reasons. Not only is it a 40’s-inspired story shot in black and white, but Chad Michael Murray wrote the episode. So, it’s either going to be really terrible or really good. We shall see!
