Former Prison Break inmate Amaury Nolasco will have a recurring role on Southland this season as Lydia’s (Regina King) new partner. This probably isn’t a good sign for Tom Everett Scott’s character this season since he was Lydia’s partner.

Jurnee Smollett will play a character named Jess on Friday Night Lights this season. She’s the daughter of a former NFL player who helps her dad raise her younger siblings. You might remember Smollett from The Great Debaters or Gridiron Gang.

Joy Bryant (Virtuality, Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins) will join NBC’s Parenthood cast. She’ll play a single mom who moves back to the Bay Area to restart a dance career and introduce her son to his father.
