There is so much they could do with them as a couple! The author of this article nailed it dead on: it will be one of the most talked about episodes in the history of television (just like when Maxwell Smart and Agent 99 got married on Get Smart!) I don't see Sheldon/Penny affecting the show in a negative way at all. They are the best part about it by FAR and it would be so unbelievably funny to see them develop towards a romantic relationship. They can follow in the same suit as Robin and Barney from How I Met Your Mother or Monica/Chandler from Friends. I cannot wait for the Penny/Sheldon relationship to happen. There is so much they could do with them as a couple! I think Sheldon and Penny "hooking up" would be a horrible mistake.
