One Tree Hill – Episode 7-11 Review

Wow, some crazy stuff went down on this week’s episode of One Tree Hill…

First of all, Millie’s off her rocker. This girl has literally had one of the biggest character turn-arounds I’ve ever seen. She went from sweet and chatty assistant to a bitchy model/drug addict. Everyone is fed up with her and she ends up being released from jail (for her DUI last episode) by none other than Victoria. That’s really when you hit rock bottom!

Brooke and Julian are still tense about the whole baby situation and the fact that Alex won’t just let Julian be. She tries apologizing and he confides in her that he never knew he wanted kids until he was told he couldn’t. Of course the bitchy actress tells this to Brooke and she is furious. She tells Julian she needs time apart from him. It really was heartbreaking to watch Brooke! I feel for her.

Clay is packing up and preparing to leave Tree Hill, much to the dismay of a hurt Quinn. She tells him to try and make it on his own, but the one prospect player he did have potential of retaining dropped out. A discouraged Clay basically tells Quinn to back off as he packs his things and visits his deceased wife’s grave.

Quinn and Haley make a truce as they talk to each other about their problems. Haley is being told that she leaves on tour the next week. Meanwhile, the agency is telling Nathan that his only shot of staying a NBA player is to go overseas to Barcelona for a year and come back the following year since all this year’s rosters are full. The two debate what to do, but ultimately decide to follow their respective dreams.

Mouth is fed up with Millie and begs her to get help, which she won’t. She resorts to stealing another of Brooke’s designs to get money for cocaine. Mouth is over it and agrees to join Skillz in LA where he got a job. Jamie is understandably upset because the two have gotten close. Skillz assures him that they will still see each other. “Like I see Uncle Lucas?” Jamie asks him. Ouch! At least we get a Lucas reference…

Dan plans on broadcasting from the hallway he killed Keith, at the insistence of Rachel. But he has an attack of morality (I know, a shocker for Dan) as Jimmy Edward’s mom cries and yells at him for ruining her son’s legacy. Another rough scene to watch.

Alex keeps nagging Julian and telling him she’s in love with him. This girl has an obsessive personality! She thinks he loves her too and to be honest, I thought I was going to see some Julian/Alex makeout action, but instead I get the biggest shock of the season. Alex leaving a voicemail on Julian’s cell as she lies in a bathtub of her own blood after slitting her wrists!

Wow, a lot of anger this episode! I’m not sure if Alex dies or not, but I’m guessing not. In next week’s preview, we learn that Julian finds her in the bathtub. I’m personally hoping they find her alive and not because I like her, but because Brooke and Julian are already going through enough without having a guilt suicide lying over Julian’s head. Either way, it’s only going to get better from here! Oh and was I the only one who felt like they are wrapping up everyone’s storylines? It seems like things are winding down in Tree Hill as everyone prepares to leave. We still have half a season to go!
