Friday Night Lights Spoilers: Which Major Star Is Leaving FNL To Join New ABC Pilot?

Ladies, you might need to grab a kleenex box for this one.

Friday Night Lights breakout star Zach Gilford (Mat Seracin) is leaving the show to join the cast of ABC’s new pilot Matadors. Gilford will make his final appearance in next Wednesday’s season finale.

The new Matadors show is about two rival Chicago families. On in the DA’s office and another from a defense firm. Think of it as a modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet
