Viewers are gobbling up The Bachelor like they haven’t in several years, so ABC is adding one final course to its menu this season.

In addition to airing the usual “After the Final Rose” special following the season finale on Monday, March 2, ABC will serve up “After the Final Rose, Part 2″ at 10 p.m. ET the following night. The extra hour will feature Bachelor Jason Mesnick appearing with the final two women, along with an “exciting and moving look back” at the season.

Mesnick will spend next week’s episode on overnight dates with the three remaining women — interior designer Jillian, sales rep Melissa or department store buyer Molly — in New Zealand before choosing his final two. “The Women Tell All” episode will air Feb. 23, with the finale coming the following week.

The reason for all this extra Bachelor business is pretty simple: The show is drawing its best ratings in several seasons. It’s averaging 10.4 million viewers a week and a 3.8 rating in the key adults 18-49 demographic, which is nearly a 40 percent improvement over the last cycle. The audience has also grown every week this season.

The improved numbers make another season of The Bachelor all but a lock for 2009-10. ABC will also roll out another edition of The Bachelorette later this year.

ABC will search for love and beauty on Monday nights in January with the latest incarnation of The Bachelor and a new show from Tyra Banks and Ashton Kutcher.

The network has set a Monday, Jan. 5 premiere date for the 13th installment of The Bachelor, starring previous Bachelorette rejectee Jason Mesnick. It will be joined that night by the debut of True Beauty, the top-secret beauty pageant show produced by Banks (America’s Next Top Model) and Kutcher (Beauty and the Geek).

Mesnick, a 32-year-old single father, was a fan favorite on The Bachelorette over the summer and was chose as the next Bachelor after DeAnna Pappas rejected him in the July 7 finale. (Pappas and the guy she did pick, Jesse Csincsak, recently broke up.)

The Bachelor will begin its season with a two-hour premiere at 8 p.m. ET Jan. 5. The show will take up its regular 90-minute spot the following week, with comedy Samantha Who? staying put at 9:30. True Beauty will air at 10 p.m. Mondays.

Details about the latter show remain a closely guarded secret. We know it involves a beauty pageant and contestants living together, and now we know the title, but that’s it.

I’ve been wanting to comment on this show all week, but finally got around to it. Now the only reason I watch this show, and probably the only reason ANYONE should watch this show, is to see how beautiful the women are. I guess the female viewers may drool over “The Bachelor”, but I’m all about the women. So with that in mind, I decided to rank the remaining 12 women who will compete for Lorenzo’s heart in Rome.

First let me say this. As the initial 25 women paraded out to meet Lorenzo I ranked who I liked and who I didn’t like. My number one girl was Britt, age 28 from Columbus, OH. She also happened to be a “Beer Chemist”! Yes, I don’t know what that is either but she was smokin’ hot and she had a FANTASTIC job! How she didn’t make the first cut is beyond me?! Actually, I know, she wasn’t a slut like some of the other girls but I will get to that later.

12 girls left and that includes my initial #2 and #3 girls. They get bumped up since Britt is gone, so here is the list. Now these are based strictly on looks and first impressions from the first episode.

Lorenzo’s Hottest Babe Options

#12 – Desiree, 22
Realtor
Salt Lake City, UT

- Here is a clear example of trying too hard. She acted all slutty around Lorenzo. I guess it worked, but to me personality has to count a lot, especially when all of the girls are pretty. She needs to go FAST!

#11 – Erica, 23
Socialite
Houston, TX

- Another girl with a horrible personality. She thinks she is Paris Hilton, which is NOT hott!

#10 – Ellen, 30
Realtor
New Haven, CT

- Okay personality, but too plain.

#9 – Jami, 27
Event Planner
Galveston, TX

-See Ellen

#8 – Gina, 28
Ultrasound Technician
Chicago, IL

- See Ellen and Jami

#7 – Jennifer, 24
Teacher
Pembroke Pines, FL

- Blonde beauty, but slightly below the other blondes

#6 – Sadie, 23
Publicist
Carlsbad, CA

- See Jennifer, except she is prettier than Jennifer

#5 – Kim, 27
Interior Designer
Long Beach, CA

- See Jennifer and Sadie, except she is the best of that group.

#4 – Agnese, 24
Student
Italy

- Italian beauty! Only this low, because of the language thing.

#3 – Lisa, 25
Marketing Manager
Portland, OR

- My top three could be interchanged as they are all extremely beautiful and have GREAT personalities, but Lisa is just a little below the top two in looks.

#2 – Sarah, 30
Journalist
Nelson, British Columbia, Canada

- Something about her. I tend to go for the dark hair women more than the blondes, so she is right there.

#1 – Jeanette, 23
Teacher
Bloomingdale, IL

- But Jeanette takes the cake! She has that curly, dark hair that drives me crazy and she is SUPER nice! She’s my new favorite, but would be happy if Sarah or Lisa won as well.

I know Desiree and Erica will stick around for awhile to stir up things on this “reality” TV show. They better not get close to winning, though.
