The CBS sitcom, The Big Bang Theory, which has begun its third season with a huge ratings improvement, has booked former Battlestar Galactica star Katee Sackhoff for a cameo in the Nov. 23 episode, CBS confirms. She’ll be playing herself, and Wolowitz’s (Simon Helberg) dream girl, in the episode.
A network source also tells the Chicago [...]

Here are the highlights of the Battlestar Galactica/Caprica Comic-Con panel:
- “Caprica” is going to be planet based show, unlike “BSG.” He also compares it to a prime-time soap opera due to it being character driven.
- According to executive producer David Eick, the central theme of “Caprica” is going to be “what does it mean to [...]

Fire up your Diet Coke-and-Mentos cannons: The MythBusters are returning to Comic-Con. Joss Whedon and Dollhouse will be there too.
Discovery confirmed Friday that MythBusters Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage will make their second consecutive San Diego Comic-Con appearance. Savage and Hyneman will be the stars of a panel at 7:15 p.m. PT Saturday, July 25, [...]

Katee Sackhoff will be on network TV next season after all — just not in the place she initially had planned.
Sackhoff — Battlestar Galactica’s Starbuck — will be a regular on 24 for its eighth season, a FOX spokesperson confirms. She’ll be playing a member of the reformed CTU, which means she’ll be working alongside [...]

After four seasons and one hell of a run, Battlestar Galactica came to a close this week with “Daybreak, Part 2.” I think most people will agree that the first two-thirds of the episode were solid, but whether you think the series finale was pure brilliance or incredibly lame is pretty much going to come [...]

When I first watched “Someone to Watch Over Me” it left a bad taste in my mouth. The plot, as presented, required too much suspension of disbelief and had numerous holes in it. After taking a couple of days to mull it over, my opinion on the episode has mellowed somewhat. It still has plot [...]

I suspect that in any other time in Battlestar Galactica’s history, “Deadlock” would have considered an important episode. But when contrasted to everything else we’ve gotten in the back half of season four, it really felt like a filler episode.
That’s not to say that “Deadlocked” didn’t have a number of intriguing developments and revelations [...]

After the frantic pace of the last four episodes of Battlestar Galactica, “No Exit” was obviously intended as a chance for everyone to catch their breath. Instead of having a meaningless filler episode for that though, “No Exit” also laid a ton of groundwork for numerous plots that should play out over the rest of [...]

Last week’s episode of Battlestar Galactica was one of the most intense hours of television seen in a long time. If this week’s episode, “Blood on the Scales” had matched that level of intensity, chances are about half the cast would have been killed off. Fortunately “Blood on the Scales” didn’t need the same kind [...]

Last week Galatica returned and reminded us how awesome it could be. “Sometimes a Great Notion” left some rather big shoes to fill. Would “The Disquiet that Fills My Soul” be able to live up to the expectations set for it?

It’s been a long, long seven months waiting for the second half of season four to begin, but if tonight’s episode is any indication, it will be well worth the wait. You know an episode is jam-packed when the dramatic and unexpected death of a long-time regular is the episode’s C story.

After Battlestar Galactica ends in 2009, fans of the series will only have to wait a year for more drama set in that universe.
Sci Fi Channel has greenlit production on the new prequel series Caprica for 20 hours of programming, including the two-hour pilot, it was announced Tuesday (Dec. 2).
In the world of Caprica, set [...]

The workings of the Cylon political system continue to confound me. Apparently after the Six-led coup, the fleet split down the middle. Which is odd because if the Sixes were removing the inhibitor chips from the Centurions, one assumes that would be done on all the ships. In order for the fleet to be split in half, all the Twos, Sixes and Eights must have taken control of only half the ships for some reason. Then, the Cylons had a big off-screen trade, shipping models back and forth so that everybody was on the ‘right’ side. I could understand the coup missing a handful of ships or something, but there is no real logical reason for the fleet to be split in half after the coup. There is a story arc reason (so we can have a Cylon civil war), and there’s a reason for Cavil to start the war after the Sixes actions, but there’s no in-character reason for the fleets to have been divided as they were.

Wow, there’s a lot to talk about with this one. “Six of One” was a rather fitting title for this week’s episode. It seemed like for almost everything that was awesome about the episode, there was something not so awesome.

Starbuck perhaps showcased this dichotomy better than anyone. Whenever Starbuck was having trouble dealing with the fact that her friends, her family, the people she thought she could always depend on, no longer trusted her, her scenes worked really well. Starbuck’s pain felt genuine and Katee Sackhoff was shining. Whenever Starbuck switched to her “we’re going the wrong way!” ranting though, the scene, and the acting, became laughably bad. It just didn’t work.

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these. That’s what a combination of a writers’ strike, truncated seasons and canceled shows will do. How about a moment of silence for Journeyman and Jericho? They will be missed.
But now on to a show that’s got a whole season left to do its thing. [...]

Now that the strike is over, you probably want to know when your favorite “scripted” television shows will be coming back to the air with new episodes. The networks have quietly begun outlining plans to salvage what’s left of the current TV season and here is what they have come up with…
***However, schedule is subject [...]

Last month another TV season ended. It was another interesting one. But who exactly came out on top? Which shows climbed to the top of the mountain and looked down at all of its fallen foes in “TV Rerun Hell”? Which shows got cut too soon and which shows surprised us all? What [...]

Wow, there was a lot going on in this episode. For the last seven or eight episodes, the show has been mostly treading water. Apparently the writers decided to make up for that by having a whole hell of a lot happen this week. So much so it’s hard to know where to start.
My ‘Roslin [...]

This week’s episode of Battlestar Galactica was an odd one. It was so focused on building up to next week’s season finale that it is kind of hard to judge some aspects on their own merit (such as the whole business with the song only some people could hear). This episode will either gain or [...]

I’ve been randomly voluntold to take a first-aid course at work this week. I don’t mind the course itself, but I normally never work earlier than 1 PM. You’d be surprised how earlier 10 AM can seem when you’re used to working afternoons and evenings. So if I seem a bit off my game this [...]
